((Well…most most recent one is because I’m a sucker for weird callouts- Mesothulas as having been one of the students training under Yoketron with Prowl or prior to Yoketron training prowl (because honestly I just want a vague TFA AU where Yoketron always has multiple students so at some point like Prowl and Mesothulas and Dai Atlas and Oil Slick and whatnot, so they can all be bros and by bros I mean they’re gonna fuck each other up to prove they’re the BEST student)

And at some point Mesothulas got his sticky little scientist fingers on a protoform without permission and snuck off with it, and showed up later with this “COMPLETELY RANDOM NEWSPARK HE’S FOSTERING” named Osteros, and Yoketron is like “this..is clearly some sort of abomination against mech and Primus that you made in a lab” and manages to get Mesothulas thrown out but can’t bring himself to get rid of clueless baby Osteros so he trains and raises Osteros, who hangs out with Prowl a bunch and renames himself Springer and blah blah I have a separate TFA Springer plotline

And the other two are pretty similar, but generally involve Mesothulas just being an Autobot scientist who gets thrown out of Cybertronian space on his aftplates for dinking around with protoforms (like, what the hell, man?) and then joining up in Decepticon space and just trying to stay under the radar but working decepticon projects- which is how he meets Blackarachnia. (here they kind of all become the same AU)

So, later on, the TFA series happens, but then post-series Blackarachnia reaches the point where she NEEDS help and she’s not sure who to turn to- but she knows at least ONE scientist who wasn’t disgusted by her weird techno-organic status, and was actually very interested and intrigued in it, rather inappropriately so. So she calls Mesothulas to earth.

And instead of helping her to figure out what to do with herself, he gets it into his head that he wants to be a giant bugmonster and makes himself Tarantulas, at which point she’s like “Okay, calling you here was clearly a mistake, get out of my house”

And he probably scuttled into a corner and hissed at her because NO I LIVE HERE NOW and that’s why Blackarachnia has a lab that she can no longer use, because he lives there now, and he keeps stealing parts off of Waspinator whenever he grows them back.))

  • Lockdown’s official arsenal now includes: bolos, sleep nets, the chainsaw, nova spray (?), lightning whip, sonic javelins, hub caps that pop off to become land-mines, and the Space Poncho. And guns. Lots of guns hidden in weird places. 
  • He wrote Ratchet’s Almanac page, which can be summed up as ‘Lockdown being an asshole’. 
  • There’s a trans-dimensional magazine for Decepticon Femmes called ‘Venus’. Blackarachina gave an interview for it wherein she states “I wonder if he’s trying to compensate for something.” about Lockdown. It also has such brilliant articles as “FIND YOUR SPARKMATE: 18 secrets guaranteed to help ensnare the right mech for you.”, “6 Surefire ways to climb the chain of command”, “Are Strika and Lugnut Stalling Out? Freezon Gives her Inside Scoop!”, and “How to Disarm A Foldspace Warhead & Other Tricks Every Girl Should Know with Pretender Alice.”
  • Yitter exists in the Animated Universe, and Headmaster has an account. 
  • Yoketron made Lockdown clean up the Cyber-Dojo when he was being an asshole. 
  • Devcon and Lockdown were both trained by Yoketron (and probably know each other through him). Devcon was an Autobot through the Great War, or at the very least helped them out more than the Decepticons. Possibly not an amoral hunter in this reality. 
  • Don’t touch the Death’s Head. Ain’t no one messin’ with Lockdown’s ride. 
  • Bond/Spark Mates are canon to Animated.
