Pokemon Trainer AU

“For a vast criminal network, their defenses were pathetic,” said Strika, brushing imagined dust off a shoulder. There was a low grumble from behind her. Strika, like many trainers, was particular about which Pokemon she trained. But, while other trainers might go for a particular type, Strika mostly seemed to go for anything moderately intelligent with big teeth.

Megatron settled himself more comfortably in the office chair with a chuckle. “As were a lot of other things, Strika. I do wonder how Team Rocket has managed to retain its standing for so many years.” That was half hot air; it had been quite difficult getting to this point, and the ease of the most immediate victory was entirely due to the years and years of preparation their little group had poured into the project. Their little group that had been dismissed as not a threat by so many people…and still would be, if things went to plan. A name change was not particularly necessary. “But intelligence and the respect of our allies cannot be underestimated. Giovanni’s fatal flaw was taking his for granted.”

He dropped a pat on the head of the Salamence curled around the base of the chair. It cocked an eye up at him and rumbled in a friendly way.

“Now,” he said. “For the difficult part. It is always easier to conquer than maintain…”

mllemusketeer:

I wonder if Strika ever hears about all the shit Lugnut and Megatron got up to during TFA and just…resolves never to let the two of them out of her sight again. Because Primus, those two can’t take care of themselves…

…and she missed the three giant versions of her consort wtf Megatron how did you not let me get in on that.

“Decepticon Lord as far from the serious fighting as we can without him noticing, which they were, fortunately, all quite good at after millennia dealing with Megatron. Optimus yelled less about being picked up, and it had apparently never occurred to him that his loyal troops might stoop to such treachery. ” Does this mean she carried Megatron? XD

mllemusketeer:

The game of “Keep the Decepticon Lord as far from the serious fighting as we can without him noticing” started when Megatron came to power, because for the most part the frontliners really liked him and didn’t want him dead. They were also well aware that the Chief Strategist of the Decepticon Empire would be very loudly upset if his mate came back seriously damaged. Strika and Lugnut are expert at this; sure, let Megatron have his fun, but don’t let him end up dead. That way, you get a nicely de-stressed leader and not a dead one.

Megatron does not appreciate this.

To put it mildly.

Megatron is well aware that this is a thing. Megatron tries to undermine it at every turn. Which just escalates the whole situation, because there’s the leader actively trying to get into even worse situations than they were trying to keep him out of in the first place! So Strika and Lugnut have had to take drastic action on occasion. Rare occasion.

Drastic action involves physically removing Megatron. Neither party particularly enjoys this, and as such, it’s only used in the direst of emergencies, when Strika’s realized that they’re really truly slagged and Megatron’s still trying to rally the troops. Megatron hates it because it’s undignified. Strika hates it because a stout blow with the flat of a sword may not be fatal, but it hurts…and wounds on the back are embarrassing as Pit.

“Who is that?” Lugnut asked, watching the footage of the battle. His optics were wide as he stared at the video of the soldier tearing apart enemy troops.

She was splattered with the energon of Autobots and the fires made her seem to glow.

“That’s General Strika, one of our ground troops.” Blitzwing said before turning back to the video feed.

“She- she’s beautiful!” Lugnut gasped, almost dropping his datapad.

Blitzwing just slowly turned to look at the other Decepticon.

Also I just remembered that I used to have a TFA headcanon where Blackout was Strika and Lugnut’s son.

oh my god what if he’s still considered a toddler

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I like this idea but then I doubt Strika would allow her precious babby out on the battlefield until he was fully grown
