Cybertron does have things they refer to as “seas,” but they don’t usually contain water. The “Sea of Rust” as depicted in recent media is usually just a heavily corroded area, though when it first appeared, it was at least presented as a liquid-like body of molecularly unstable matter:
Bob Budiansky Marvel stories said there was no water on Cybertron, to the point that Transformers had never even heard of it, but Simon Furman issues, well:
The G1 cartoon also showed water, in which the Dinobots went fishing:
Certain substances can affect the processes of a Transformer (or a human,
for that matter) causing excitement, stupefaction or any one of a whole
host of altered mental states. While some are socially accepted and
legally available from certain establishments, others are outlawed due to their dangerous or addictive nature.
Angolmois Energy (アンゴルモアエネルギー Angorumoa Enerugī), or simply Angolmois, is the life-force of Unicron.
It is a powerful energy source which oftentimes has completely random
and unpredictable effects on the things it comes in contact with. It can
upgrade a Transformer and give them new bodies, or it can lift
mountains and freeze planets.
Just like Unicron, Angolmois Energy is extremely chaotic. It appears to be functionally identical to Dark Energon.[1] One form of containment for portions of this substance is referred to as an Angolmois Capsule (アンゴルモアカプセル Angorumoa Kapuseru).
As human beings spread out across the galaxy from Earth, they took with them the skills to distill intoxicating liquors. One such beverage is known as Betelgeux whiskey and though popular, it can leave a careless drinker with a bad hangover the next day.
The powerful crysmagnetal (クリスマグネタル kurisumagunetaru), shortened to crysmag, is a substance found only in the sunken continent of Lemuria. When energy is directed against it, it absorbs, magnifies, and redirects that energy, projecting it outwards.
Dark Energon is a powerful, corrupted version of energon which can be used as a violent weapon and explosive. As energon is the emanation of Primus, from which all Transformer life and power is formed, Dark Energon is similarly the emanation of Unicron, released after his first battle with the thirteen original Transformers.
Even the smallest particle of Dark Energon can corrupt any amount of
regular energon. Dark Energon can be used for a number of deadly uses
such as increasing one’s power, reviving the dead, corrupting
Transformers and even weakening some. It appears to be functionally
identical to Angolmois energy.[1]
>>| “No! No one can control Dark Energon! It dominates and destroys everything it touches!” <<| – Starscream,Transformers: War for Cybertron –
Invented by Quickmix on Cybertron, Fool’s Energon supposedly saps the strength of a Transformer, leaving them physically weaker than normal. In actuality, it’s a placebo, being nothing more than standard energon with an altered color and a foul taste.
Nucleon is an incredibly powerful energy source capable of being used as fuel by Transformers
and other mechanoid life forms, but though it can give great strength
and power and has even revived the nonfunctional, it often has terrible
side effects. Nucleon is said to affect no two types of mechanoid the
same. One very common effect for Transformers is the loss of transformation ability. The Action Masters resulted from injudicious use of this mysterious, dangerous substance.
Nucleon appears as a funky liquid with a dangerous glow. It looks
like fun, and seems to help, but don’t be a fool! Listen to your momma
and stay off the stuff!
Oil is a generic term for a slippery liquid that won’t mix readily with water. Oils vary widely in composition but generally consist of mixed organic compounds.
Oils find frequent use as lubricants, fuels, and solvents. Transformers
are among the users of oils in these capacities; however, they
sometimes consume certain oily substances in larger quantities than
strictly required, resulting in impairment of certain functions,
disorientation, and temporary mental dysfunction. Though at first it may
seem odd, some actively seek these seemingly-deleterious effects. What
is odder yet is that humans
seek out and consume varying solutions of a certain hydrocarbon with a
single hydroxyl group and experience effects quite similar to those
mentioned above. Further study is needed to explain this strange
coincidence.
Oil is often extracted by oil rigs, and transported in oil tankers and pipelines. All of these are popular targets for Decepticon attacks.
Reality inside Reality, that’s what Simultronic means to its
users. A drugging sensation applied through wires that are to be
attached to the head component, Simultronic is both a way for Transformers to escape this slagging world and to seriously mess up their central processor.
Syk is the street name of a forbidden circuit booster, presumably the Cybertronic equivalent of an illicit narcotic. Syk is forbidden even among the Decepticons.
Syk’s effects (and negative side-effects) are unknown, but it may be similar to overclocking,
where the increased strain on the boosted system carries a risk of
burnout. Alternately (given its dealers), it may be chemical in nature.

Oh, he knows he’s full of hypocritical bullshit, but he is also entirely and fully beyond caring. Plus, humans aren’t really people to him.
They’re organic. Just like Quintessons.
Organics don’t have souls, or sparks, they have no purpose, they just…exist. They eat and consume and breed and the universe will be better off without them, as far as he’s concerned. Things will stabilize, and even out, and you know what? In his opinion, he’s much more merciful than the Quintessons ever were.
The Quintessons wanted their toys back, they wanted slaves and labor and to take back something they claim is rightfully theirs, and they’re a race driven insane by some catastrophic event that has led them to systematically destroy their own society again and again and again, for the sake of Gods and Judges and appeasing their own appetites. They want things they can torment, and train, and subdue.
Megatron just wants organics gone. Ash, dust, heat-fused glass.
I mean, Megatron’s ultimately self-aware enough that he knows he’s not a good guy. He’s 100% aware of this, and he’s wholeheartedly embraced it- he knows his own morals and as far as he’s concerned, those are the only ones he needs to be concerned with, because, and to quote him at one point- “Redemption isn’t real, and I’ve already doomed us all.”
I wanna think that Decepticons value a partner who is strong and will protect you. Who can also overpower you.
They’ll have “play fights” where one Con wrestles the other into submission and fucks them.
Outsiders might not understand because the struggling would seem real.
On Twitter I saw a scenario where Rodimus assumed Drift’s con ex abused him after memory linking with him, because the sex was so rough.
(what kinds of signals Cons would have that advances really aren’t okay?)
I suspect it can honestly get ambiguous sometimes. Like, I think the assumption would be that if a ‘Con really doesn’t want it, then they would overpower their suitor, esclating the fight if necessary – using their inbuilt weaponry, usually.
Buuuut there’d be times when a ‘Con couldn’t do that, or didn’t want to risk real damage by using weapons, or the other combattant didn’t realize that by esclating the fight they wanted it to stop rather than just keep on going until they were overpowered…or, y’know, didn’t care enough to pay attention to the signals that this wasn’t a happy sexytimes playfight.
Another signal would probably be to just refuse to fight back. It’d risk looking like a surrender, but usually ‘Cons expect their ‘defeated’ companions to participate in the interface as well as the fight. Still, though, it’d depend on the other ‘Con realizing something was wrong and caring enough to back off.
*jumps in*
I did something like that in an RP. (I think it was an RP…. Don’t think it was a fic???) where yeah, if the Con REALLY doesn’t want to clang, he lies limp under his ‘attacker’ and turns his face away. It’s not submission to the other ‘Con, it’s ‘look how uninspiring you are to me, you’re not worth putting my hands on even to shove off’.
It was a fun concept to play with, (and by fun I mean oh dears gods the DRAMU) because the Autobots did NOT know this was how to say no, except for a critical few, who were, of COURSE, hiding their cross faction affairs. ^_^
[[Mun Musing: It occurs to me that the way Arcee’s head opens up seems very orderly- her helm splits along lines of color. Do other bots’ heads open up similarly easy? With the right medical codes, could you make Megatron’s helm open up? Or Optimus’?]]
Things to draw: Other TFA Bots with their helms open. Does Bumblebee’s helm open like this? We’ve seen him take his helmet off, wholesale- is that a feature of his framtype? Could Arcee do that, or is her helmet more attached? SO MANY THOUGHTS???? How many different helm styles are there, for bots?
