Was feeling a bit crappy today, but I managed to churn this out. It has not been, unfortunately, proof read, so I apologize but I am really not feeling too great today.
Anyway, based on two lovely anons that leggystarscream got and I felt the need to write and I’m so glad I was allowed to! No triggers apply, as far as I know, but message me if you do find any.
they genuinely speak a different language from a specific region of Cybertron and their knowledge of Iaconian is limited, leading to misunderstandings like “Diversion? What kind of version?” etc
they both behave in noticeably different ways if ya look closely. Jetfire harbors some insecurities about being the most damaged in the accident and then one that had to be saved by Jetstorm in the test sim, so while he’s OUTWARDLY more sociable and reckless, he falters when confronted with seriousness and seems shy and unsure of himself. Jetstorm meanwhile is outwardly more chill and relaxed and he has the confidence to deal with most things levelly and critically, unlike his brother.
they’re actually not as young as they seem, they were energon refinery drones for quite a long while before their accident. their outward “immaturity” and recklessness comes from their newfound excitement for life post-upgrade. (wouldn’t you be a lot more wild and uninhibited if you suddenly got superpowers after a life of being as normal as normal could get?)
they’re actually on the more neutral/sympathetic side towards Decepticons post S3. i imagine they catch quite a bit of Autobot distrust because of their Starscream programming, and learning that their harsh treatment of Wasp turned out to be towards an innocent bot, as well as witnessing both BA and Waspinator die (as far as they knew) gave them a bit of perspective outside the usual “Cons Are Irredeemably Evil Always” narrative.
on a less serious note: Jetfire’s into mechs and mechframes (gay as heckie) while Jetstorm is into Everyone and has a preference towards larger/curvier/shapely frames (panromantic and pansexual)
they’re very obedient to authority because they know they’re pretty much aimless without any sort of direction to point their firepower. they’ve learned exactly how to speak to Sentinel without aggravating him, but their opinion of him is truthfully very low (like everyone else’s p much) and as often as they can do it without getting caught, they prank him like no one’s business
they’re the biggest extroverts you’ll ever meet and will follow you around like twin lost puppies if they take any sort of liking to you whatsoever. if you actually establish a friendship? congrats you now have pet jettwins
Like, I want to be made into a beautiful glass thing. I want to be something treasured for a long time and rarely talked about. I want to live in the home of someone who loved me, and touched now and then in silent memory.
I want people to forget that I’m in there, I want the memory of what I am to pass out of the family’s knowledge. I want to be given away, and put out in a thriftstore somewhere.
I want someone to buy my ashes for $4.99 and put me in a window and love the colors. I want to cast beautiful, fractious and curving sunlight across the wall, sparkling and glowing and shimmering, depending on the time of day. I want someone to take a picture of me with the moon behind me, luminous and mysterious.
I want a witch to buy me and put me in her work room. I want an artist to leave me on their worktable. I want to inspire people and make them smile. I want to be warm from sunlight or chilly from the cool air. I want to be packed in newspaper carefully when they move. I want to be given as a holiday or graduation present to someone’s kid, I want to be given as a housewarming gift as a reminder of home.
And god, then, hopefully some day, I want to roll off the table, I want that globe to crack.
And then I want to haunt the living shit out of the future.
