Most of the Leaders are Female, and each Colony seems to represent a different type of governing body
Caminus, led by the Mistress of Flame is a Theocracy
Carcer, led by Elita 1 is a military Dictatorship
Velocitron, led by Override appears to be a Meritocracy (the fastest being put in charge)
Devisen is mostly unknown to us, its leader has yet to be shown, or much of its society outside of everyone being Micromaster combiners. I suspect that Devisen may very we’ll be Communistic. It would explain the lack of an actual leader. And the 2 becoming 1 alt mode thing sounds like the kind of condition that leads to the cooperation and trust inherent in True Communism
Eukaris is another odd one. Since its split into 4 tribes it appears to be Feaudal. But we don’t know anything about the leaders of those tribes, but we do know that all 4 tribes follow the council of Blackarachnia “the Fateweaver Oracle”
(R:) A thing I have really loved over the course of Megatron’s recent character development is the indication that he’s intensely introverted. Based on the epic leadership and murderous wrath and other very outgoing qualities that he traditionally has, it would be easy to assume that he’s extroverted and gets all his fuel from being immersed in his crowd of followers. But the idea that he could actually do all those things while needing alone time and quiet to keep himself charged up for eons of warfare is actually really inspirational. 🙂
Granted, most introverts don’t have the option of straight-up murdering anybody who interrupts quiet time (and cultivating the legend of a hair-trigger temper would be great for defending one’s recharge), but still…it’s kind of a really nifty role model thing for introverts who feel like they could never lead or move-and-shake purely because they aren’t charged up by other people. A genocidal warlord role model, yeah, but introverts have to take what they can get sometimes.
(I actually like Megatron being an introvert more than if there was some more conventional TF hero introvert. It fits into the Early Decepticon High Command As Isle of Misfit Toys pattern, where everybody in Megatron’s inner circle was some kind of ostracized weirdo. Among everything else weird about Baby Megatron, he was an introvert who stepped into a very public leadership role. …No wonder he was pissed off all the time; fraggers kept bothering him about every little thing and sucking his limited social batteries dry. ^^)
YES! I have been waiting to see a photset like this! THANK YOU!
Abusive relationships are bad, mmkay?
See this makes me feel bad for both of them because I see Starscream lashing out at Knock Out because he can’t lash out at Megatron (I forget what that psychological term is but it’s where you get angry at someone when you’re angry at someone else) and/or possibly Screamy just being conditioned to think that this is how leaders act
Starscream’s got /that/ going on along with Decepticon culture (probably part of where he gets the idea of how a leader acts) mixed in with his psychological issues – which I think are partly his personality, and partly the effect of the dynamic he has with Megatron. And nobody sufficient is around to teach him what he’s doing is self-destructive or to get through to the guy in a way his ego and emotions would allow. So he is abused and he abuses. The pain goes right down the chain.
I love Transformers Prime, because it’s a well made cartoon about abuse dynamics, war, and suffering.
